A beautiful (still perhaps hidden!) gem. My boyfriend and I had an amazing two nights there hiking, canoeing, stargazing, and listening to the loons. Make sure to look at the campsite map and pick carefully because not all sites are created equal! We found an awesome site which was a five minute walk from all the other sites which was great because we wanted to feel like we had the place to ourselves.
I Love camping here. No showers or flush toilets. That dosen't bother me but it's not for everyone. It's also not mobbed with RVs. Good bass fishing and interesting wildlife. Fun activities include climbing up to balance rock or swimming in the ponds. Great for day use too.
Peaceful! Lots to do! Also can relax, kick back in front of camp pit.
4 stars because the hike to the glacier eroded rock was a killer and I got plenty of exercise! It was just a big rock to be honest, but literally right before it is a decent sized rock to rest on and over look the lake. I think it would be nice to visit the other trails, so my rating and comment should not extend to the whole of the place. It might be better or worse, but we only went to two trails (kind of, one area was too flooded to pass and we were hoping to see beavers)
Canoes and kayaks are also available to rent. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly! Can't wait to return!
Great place, reserve early to get the good spots
